So, first of all, I apologize for not sending this earlier. I meant to, but then I forgot. In the future, if you're ever curious what's going on, here's the schedule. Cool, glad we got that behind us.
----------------------
Now, here's the most important thing you can do right now -- go pull up this video in a separate tab. Have it open in a the background while reading the rest of this post. Maybe skip to about 45 seconds in, because that's when the good part starts: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2iocz_will-smith-wild-wild-west-music-vid_creation
Aw yeah, listen to that piece of 90s awesomeness. That's right. Game night this time around is wild wild west themed. That could mean that everyone will show up in a ten gallon hat, toting pop cap guns! (Or maybe even real guns! This is Georgia!) It could also mean that we're going to sit around a campfire and play harmonica.
It could mean any of those things, but it doesn't. What it actually means is that I'm making "frontier" chili and "hoedown" fajitas and "excessive quotation" ranch dip.
They totally have "lazors" in the wild, wild, west! |
This is about the point in the video when Stevie Wonder should be singing something about how we're going straight to the wild wild west. The song (and the video) is way over the top ..... but that's just how things are when you're strolling to the wild wild west. And rolling to the wild wild west.
Just in case you're wondering, that is actually Stevie singing the backups. Stevie, of course, went on to go back in time ("to the WILD WILD WEST!"), become a famous musician, and then write a cover of this song title "I wish". It's important to understand though, that the original song was the wild wild west.
I guess grammatically correct would be "I" |
At some point, we'll be done with stupid jokes and themed food. This is when we will play stupid themed games! Specifically, we'll be playing a game called "Bang!", which is a delightful game about riding into town drunk, shooting the first person you see, and then belatedly realizing that they were totally on your side.

EDIT: Hey! Stevie actually makes an appearance in the video! At the 3 minute mark, for about half a second! The things you learn on the internet! (I'm also very excited because he's one of my favorite musicians ..... even if he did rip off Will Smith via time traveling compright infringment)
