Well no more! I'm pulling up my bootstraps of proper scheduling, wiping away the dust of procrastination, and putting on the sunglasses of overly extended metaphors. I'm giving you guys an entire 9 days of warning for this game night. It's happening next Saturday, October 24, 6PM Check the sticky if you need to know the lesser details, like "where is it" or "how do I get in".
Appropriately, the theme this time around is "slow". How is that a theme, you ask? Well, let me explain. But first, let me pontificate. And Procrastinate. And make dubious grammar decisions. Like starting a sentence with "and". Or "like". Or "or". You see, in the hustle (and bustle!) of everyday life, sometimes we forget that there's value in doing thing slowly, methodically. Of course, there actually *isn't* any real value in it, but it's nice to think there is. Isn't it?
Anyway, we're going to be eating slow cooked texas chili and homemade beer & cheese bread (the bread is homemade -- not the beer. See "questionable grammar", above). We're going to be following that up by playing a really slow game, spanning the course of an entire civilization. It'll take like 1000 years to properly play:
Or, well, maybe like 30 minutes. Definitely somewhere in that range!
Cheers! See you there!
You're on my calendar for next week. Prepare for my triumphant return to Game Night! (Also, will probably have my-Nate with me.)
